SHOPPY VERIFIED - Code of Practice & Guidelines
A web store or e-Commerce site is awarded the SHOPPY VERIFIED logo only if it complies with all the guidelines listed below. The verification process is designed to promote trust, safety and "shopper-friendliness" in Malaysian web stores -- while also helping shoppers to make more informed decisions.
- If credit card payment is accepted, the transaction MUST be processed by a secure server. It can be the store's own secure server or a secure server by any recognised third party gateway/payment processor, like WorldPay, PayPal, 2CO etc.
- The currency used must be clearly stated, especially if prices displayed are not in MYR.
- Mulitple mode of payments must be offered. For example, credit card, bank deposit, cheque, money order etc.
- Shopping cart and checkout system must be provided.
- Easily accessible section/page for Delivery information and charges.
- Easily accessible section/page for Payment modes information.
- Easily accessible section/page for Returns/Warranty Policy.
- Easily accessible section/page for Privacy Policy.
- Contact form OR e-mail must be provided. Telephone number OR postal address must also be provided on the site.
